Response to Comments made elsewhere....

WriteWingBlog had a visitor in her comments section that I would like to bring here, but instead, will just point you there. The author whose comment I responded to would likely not give permission to print her comment here.

So, that said... please read Dawn's post, and the comments in the blogger box .

Sadly, both Roe and Doe are based on LIES to begin with! Neither woman ever had an abortion, and "DOE" never wanted one!

Norma McCorvey and Sandra Cano both pray that Roe and Doe are overturned.

Dr Bernard Nathanson has told the story of the beginnings of NARAL many times, including the lies that were told by those founding it, (including vilifying the Catholic Church, and suppressing information that life begins at conception, which is found at the hyperlink) :

We persuaded the media that the cause of permissive abortion was a liberal enlightened, sophisticated one. Knowing that if a true poll were taken, we would be soundly defeated, we simply fabricated the results of fictional polls. We announced to the media that we had taken polls and that 60% of Americans were in favour of permissive abortion. This is the tactic of the self-fulfilling lie. Few people care to be in the minority. We aroused enough sympathy to sell our program of permissive abortion by fabricating the number of illegal abortions done annually in the U.S. The actual figure was approaching 100,000 but the figure we gave to the media repeatedly was 1,000,000. Repeating the big lie often enough convinces the public. The number of women dying from illegal abortions was around 200-250 annually. The figure we constantly fed to the media was 10,000. These false figures took root in the consciousness of Americans convincing many that we needed to crack the abortion law.
Another myth we fed to the public through the media was that legalising abortion would only mean that the abortions taking place illegally would then be done legally. In fact, of course, abortion is now being used as a primary method of birth control in the U.S. and the annual number of abortions has increased by 1500% since legalisation.

Fr Rob of Thrown Back Has Another Good Piece...

And I really have to say, I agree with him 100%.

He is talking about a case in Wayland Michigan...but it could happen in any town in the USA.. or in the world...

Perhaps 20 years is too severe a sentence. But surely he knew that posting pictures of those kids was wrong. And surely he knew that taking those pictures was wrong. And he should have known that allowing those kids to have sex in his house was wrong. And he should have known that those kids having sex in the first place was wrong. And if he didn't know those things, whose fault is that?

The lesson here: If kids can behave this way in New York, they can behave that way in Wayland, Michigan. And they can behave this way anywhere.

"A Distant Thunder"..................It's Getting Closer.....

Imagine you are an attorney, handed a case that is not of your choosing.

Imagine that you have nightmares about this case, and begin to see strange people all around you.

Imagine that your boss tells you that this case "Has your name written all over it", as he hands you the file.

Imagine that as part of your opening statement to the jury, you end with "Three inches. The only difference between a Partial Birth Abortion and Homicide is... Three Inches! "....

Imagine a new way of looking at Partial Birth Abortion...

I just watched it, twice. Powerful....

A Distant Thunder....It's Getting Closer....

South Dakota Legislature Passes Bill to Ban Abortion

This is part of what Relevant Radio has been discussing....The Right Questions with Sheila Liaugminas.

Scroll down on her page to hear Harold Cassidy speak with her about this, as well as other information specifically about South Dakota. OR go to my previous post on this subject,.

OH... and one of those working on this bill is a Democrat, and a woman....

South Dakota Legislature Passes Bill to Ban Abortion
By VOA News
23 February 2006

Lawmakers in the midwestern U.S. state of South Dakota have passed legislation that would ban all abortions except when a woman's life is in danger.

After final legislative approval, the state's governor must sign the bill in order for it to become law. The governor, Republican Mike Rounds, has said he opposes abortion.

If approved, the South Dakota bill would directly challenge the U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion. Doctors in the state who perform abortion would face a maximum five-year prison term.

Spokeswomen for Planned Parenthood, an activist organization that supports abortion rights, said if the governor signs the bill, the group will file a lawsuit to block it.

Earlier this week, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear a separate case on a federal law banning certain late-term abortions.

Abortion has been one of the most contentious issues in U.S. politics since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalized the practice across the nation. The Court upheld abortion as a right in the 1992 case of Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Some information for this report was provided by AP and Reuters.

Babies in Jeopardy--Down Syndrome

Another post from Charmaine Yoest brought me to Gabriels' Angel Network started by Gabriel's Dad, Sam.

Read her post first, and then go to Sam's webpage Gabriel's Angel Network, and register to enter to watch his video.

And remember Gabriel when someone is encouraging the tests that are done today during pregnancy.... Sam says 14 babies are born with Down Syndrome. . . while 126 are aborted every day. (HT to Charmaine.)

Gianna Jessen and Baby Rowan

I had a visitor today from the United Kingdom (Feb 23 2006 8:26:36 am my time (2:26 AM there, I believe) who had used the search words:

gianna jessen on Google

That was it.

Just her name.

I followed the search link that had brought my visitor to my blog just to see where he/she had come in...and the very FIRST entry was one I had not been to before. Reading the first of two that had shown up on the search, and I am again blown away by this young woman.

But before I go on, awhile back I had read a commenter say that Gianna's story is made up.

Those are not exactly the words used, but this commenter was questioning the veracity of her story, saying that there was no proof, etc. I do not remember where I encountered this person, but have to say... there are hospital records AND her birth mother has confirmed her story. Because she was also 'in the system' of foster children, so there are also records to confirm what Gianna and her adoptive mother and grandmother (her former foster mother) have told the world.

Gianna exists, in spite of an attempted, failed saline abortion.

And there are others, too. I really wish that those who do not know Truth when they hear it would take the time to LEARN before they make the denial comments that they make. It would make them sound so much more learned... but then, if they studied the facts, they could not continue to live in denial. Gianna's birthmother learned the truth when SHE delivered her own 'fetus'....and realized that this was a BABY.

Back to Gianna:

This feisty little girl that my children and I were privileged to meet long ago when she first began to sing/speak out publically has grown into a very spunky young woman. She has Cerebral Palsy, but has never let that prevent her from doing anything she sets her mind to accomplish. Read about her Marathon ... and be inspired. There are also other sites to read more on Gianna Jessen beginning here , here, and the same repeated here
where you can find another survivor story.

When reading Charmaine's website, don't miss her hyperlinks to the news articles!

Gianna, Operation Determination... determined...

Abortion Survivor; Marathon Runner

Gianna Jessen, Abortion Survivor -- Country Music Marathon Finisher!

Charmaine Yoest also has another post of interest, which brought her attention to Gianna.
She had written about a baby now named Rowan, whose story can be found here.

Rowan's mother was intending to have an abortion, late term, but something went drastically wrong. She delivered Rowan on her own and he was alive. She cried out for help from the employees of the abortion clinic.

She got no help. Rowan, born alive, died.

Rowan's mother is very honest about her thinking as she made the decision to abort Rowan, and why. She is also very honest about her feelings when she had realized what she had done.

She wants an autopsy to prove he was born alive, but (though REQUIRED when an infant dies suddenly almost any other time... ) the coroner refused, and she cannot afford the cost of one herself. There is a REASON she must prove that Rowan was born alive, because the clinic denies this fact, including the one staff member who had seen Rowan move. Why? Because of the 2002 Federal Born-Alive Infant Protection Act, which requires doctors to attempt to keep alive a baby that survives an abortion.

Liberty Council has issued a statement about Baby Rowan.

Thank you to Charmaine Yoest

What's A Mother To Do???

In the comments section, my son left a message that is causing some to wonder...

i dont mean to toot my own horn at all cause like i said its from the mother that was always there for me no matter what. (what other mom around the age of mid 4*cough*ties would take their son to Ozzfest concert cause of a broken promise?)

so, here is the story....

My son likes Ozzie ( I don't, not at all, never liked that kind of music... few kinds of music I don't like, but heavy metal is one....). He asked if he could go to a concert in southern Wisconsin if he paid for the tickets.

As he was only seventeen, I told him that he had to find a ride there with an adult because it was just too far for him to drive, to a strange place none of them had ever been to before. There would be much too much traffic near the open air concert place, etc.
He did not like this at first, but finally called his other parent, and asked him if HE would take them if my son bought a ticket for him. His Dad agreed, and my son was on top of the world, for more reasons than one....not necessary to go into that aspect of this story.

He does a countdown to Day of Concert. He makes plans, his girlfriend is going with him. Needless to say, he is excited. He is thrilled. He cannot wait.... he is seventeen, ya know?

Then comes the day...and a phone call... it is raining just a little by us... Dad doesn't think that they should go...parking will be terrible on the soaked grass...they will get wet.... it will be cold... etc. Many excuses.

My son was devastated --angry-- HURT....

What's a mother to do? Those tickets were expensive! He had paid for them out of his own pocket! The rain was miniscule in both his mind, AND in reality!

So I said... IF I drive, do I HAVE TO GO INTO THE CONCERT?????

( I really cannot stand this music...and I am short... VERY short... in fact, I just measured myself at the doctor's office and found out I am not quite 4' 11"--LOST some! When those concert goers stand up, which is the entire concert... I can see NOTHING. )

He said no... you don't have to go in, while looking at me in disbelief. I really do not think that he ever dreamt he would hear the next words out of my mouth, as I said... Ok, then I will take you, and I will take something to read.....

We went. I parked. They walked into the open air concert area. I sat in the car, often running the engine to get the benefit of the air conditioner. Some guys near me took pity on this ol lady and brought me a COLD SODA.... as they cooked their brats, etc.

I just grinned. I think that my presence surprised THEM, too.

I heard the concert. Who could MISS it? I was tremendously glad that I was not closer, as it had to be VERY loud near that stage! I did the best I could to shut out the language... and when it ended, my son and his gf came back to the car... grinning from ear to ear.

A few days later, his Dad called and managed to say again that he was sorry that my son had to miss the concert. Kev said... I didn't. Mom took us...and let that sink in.

As shocked as my son was, I think his Dad was more so!

But you see... you just do NOT break promises to a kid. You just do NOT break promises, period, unless a death or illness prevents it from being kept, someone's life/health can be jeopardized by fulfilling it, OR if the promise is illegal or immoral to begin with.

A promise was made. I had given my word that he could go if he got the tickets and if he got an adult driver to take him. He had done everything he had been told to do.

A promise was broken.

A promise had to be kept by someone. I was the only someone who could keep it for the other half of the parental configuration....he was still only seventeen, and it was still too far for him to go alone in my car....

Oh, and the weather??

As I said, it was not raining hard when the promise was broken... the sun came out and the day was BEAUTIFUL. No mud. No parking problems in the grass.... they never got wet other than from sweat....

Wonder if his Dad learned anything about keeping promises?

A thought..........

Just found this... food for thought! Wish some of our politicians would learn this!!

"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."
~~
Winston Churchill

"Israel must be wiped off the map"

Oh, wonderful! How would you like to know that your kid's college has THIS COURSE......

Better yet, this news would HAVE to make you thrilled to bits to hear!!

A student leader of the organization that set up the recruitment event said that they currently have 1,000 loyal and trained suicide bombers, with another 5,000 on a waiting list.

And of course, the Holocaust issue comes up once again... with appropriate good wishes for Israel as they make these plans with their students and aim to get (or already have..?) nuclear weapons...

Iran on Sunday warned that any Israeli attack against it would provoke a swift response, state-run television reported.

Intelligence Minister Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejehei said an Israeli attack would be "stupidity."

"In case the Zionist regime attacks Iran, it will get a swift response and will regret its action," Ejehei was quoted as saying.

US SUPREME COURT TO HEAR PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION CASE

The US Supreme Court will hear the pending case on a late term abortion (the Partial Birth Abortion that was passed and then challenged because there was no 'health of the mother' clause in it...

There IS NEVER a reason to do this kind of abortion "For the Health of the Mother".... never. The solution for health of mother at that stage of a pregnancy is to induce or if an emergency, C-Section.

Period.

However, you understand that if they USE this to save the mother... they will have TWO living patients before and after .....

Happy Birthday, Daughter!

First, a reminder of last year's message, because you had no puter then...

So go here to read, and also, the songs mentioned are here.

And now, for today:

Happy Birthday! Not many people choose a birthday that gives them an automatic PAID DAY OFF! LOL Hope you enjoy it!

Ah, the joys of parenting, my daughter. Having two children prone to ear infections is not fun. (I know from experience, huh? grin). But hopefully, they will soon be well enough that you can all celebrate today.

Many memories of you as a child, and as a young adult, and now a wife and mother. But right now, the ones at the forefront are the times that you, also were sick as a little one, and the picture in my mind's eye is when you were in the hospital for the tonsilectomy/adnoidectomy for the NORMALLY kissing tonsils that caused so much problem whenever you got any upper respiratory infection. Long blonde hair, Strawberry Shortcake doll, huge smile... then after surgery, the big ice bag, and small smile for the camera. But you were brave. Two previous surgeries for Tubes in the ears for repeat bil ear infections, too.

You never got quite as sick after the T & A, because the danger of total airway obstruction was at least gone, and you could breathe easier.

We can get together after the kids are well, but know that Mom is thinking of you today.

God bless, daughter!

Love you!
