As Wisconsin's Battle Heads to Court--Unions Try to Oust a Judge

Some of the Kloppenburg support ads have been horrendously negative, including ONE that even brought the Church scandal into it.

I am sure that was done in order to hook even more voters -- those already angry at Walker who also have a problem with the Church -- for any reason, but especially over the Feeney scandal. I won't even give her the satisfaction of putting that ad on my blog.

That one has been offset by Troy Merryfield's official statement (opens a pdf file), AND by a new ad that he made to support pr0-life
Incumbent Judge David Prosser (who WILL have my vote! )

WITH THAT AS BACKGROUND, it brings me to this:

As Wisconsin's Battle Heads to Court, Unions Try to Oust a Judge -

Just a bit of this article:

After four weeks, Republicans finally passed the bill after amending it so it required a smaller quorum. The Democratic senators returned, but promptly backed a blizzard of lawsuits to block the bill from taking effect.

They found an ally in Judge Maryann Sumi of Dane County. She issued a restraining order against publication of the law, arguing that it was likely that plaintiffs would prove it was passed without the required notice in the state's Open Meetings Law. On Thursday, she followed up with an order declaring the law "not in effect."

Legal analysts say it's preposterous for a judge to enjoin publication of a law before it has even taken effect, as citizens don't have standing to challenge a law until they are subject to it. In a similar case in 1943, the state's Supreme Court ruled that a judge had no such authority. In 1977, another state Supreme Court opinion reiterated that under separation of powers "no court has jurisdiction to enjoin the legislative process at any point." Rick Esenberg, an assistant professor of law at Marquette University, says he is "speechless" over the fact that Judge Sumi "has failed to articulate why she has the authority" to issue her ruling.

Then I read this, in the comment section:
(HT to John Callahan!! This is his comment)
When Judge Sumi's own flesh and blood has a bio like this.........

"A lifelong political activist, Jake Sinderbrand got his start as a volunteer doorknocker, and has years of experience training both volunteers and canvassing staff. Jake graduated from Macalester College cum laude with a degree in political science, specializing in American political structures. He has developed his professional political experience serving as a lead field manager with the AFL-CIO and as data manager for the SEIU State Council through the 2008 election cycle"

......... how can she even think to rule on the law with such an obvious conflict of interest?

I really am tired of what appears to be.... not ethical. There is more to
the article above, which is also important to read, because it also gives a very clear picture of the smear campaign on a pro-life incumbent, Judge David Prosser....and why they want him out so badly!! IMHO, she should have recused herself from the beginning.

My NEXT post is linked to Freedom Eden's blog for webshots and more info... on the Sumi/Sinderbrand connection.... and that really gets to be fun to follow. Mary did a fantastic job!

54 yr old grandmother/storeowner threatened by Union in WI

Wisconsin Store Owner Battles Union Bullies

This woman would have MY support if I lived closer to her.

THIS kind of thing gives unions a very bad reputation, and is totally uncalled for. I hope that there is something that can be done to stop it.

Again, if the embed does not work, the video should be here

This stinks to high Heaven!

Clergy Caught Asleep

The Clergy was asleep not only for abortion, but also the 'no fault' divorce law signed in Aug of 73, just months after Roe v Wade. So not only pre-born children, but also children in MARRIED FAMILIES now became victims of the enemy of God.

Thank you, Lord, that Dr Nathanson came to Truth, both in regard to LIFE, and to FAITH.

God bless!
