I BELIEVE that I have accurately transcribed the section of his talk last night with the prayer request in it....
Starting at approximately 04:55

It's been 100 days since I took the oath of office for about the 7th or 8th time, but this time I took the oath of office in a suit and tie
..(But) The committment remains the same. What I see in Washington DC lets me know that one simple thing has to happen. We have got to restore principled leadership in that place. If we don't restore principled leadership, no matter how hard you work down here, you'll be like a hamster on a treadmill, and you're not going to go anywhere.

...so, each and every day that I wake up, I want you to know one simple thing--I don't care how tired I am, I will continue to fight for you. I only ask one simple thing: Keep me in prayer. Read..(applause and shouts)....If you just have a little bit of time, whenever you can, turn over to First Kings Chapter 3, the exact same prayer that Solomon asked of wisdom and discernment to lead the people. Please pray that prayer. And also, please pray a simple prayer for my wife and my 2 daughters ..(inaudible..that they stay safe, that they stay strong)

And Solomon said, "Thou hast shown great and steadfast love to thy servant David my father, because he walked before thee in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward thee; and thou hast kept for him this great and steadfast love, and hast given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this.

(Fort Lauderdale) – U.S. Congressman Allen West flew into Fort Lauderdale Airport at 10:30 PM and did not hesitate to meet with his 160 supporters. The supporters were in 90 degree heat inside the Fort Lauderdale Fireman’s Hall (FTLBH) whose air conditioner kept shutting off mysteriously.

Rumors grew that the Union Members were falsely told that the Tea Party had a website “trashing” the firemen. It was also alleged that the after party to be held after the Tax Day Protest was really an anti-union rally. This was not proven and one of the leaders for the FTLBH was surprised at the well behaved attended event. The unnamed Union Later stated, “I am going to find out who started this rumor and get to the bottom of this.” He further commented that he hopes that a few bad apples don’t harm the image of the Union guys.

The Union Hall had shut its back bar, canceled Karaoke night, and the members almost had the event canceled, but the manager did not contact coordinator Gabriel Carrera to cancel. Many in the event complained of heat commenting that it was cooler outside than inside. One bar tender stayed to serve adult beverages did not understand what the problem was. I love the Tea Party she commented earlier that week. The night of the event she was treated with great respect and tipped heavily by smiling Tea Partiers. “I am going to ream them a new one because you guys (Tea Party) were not as they described talking earlier.

Due to the rumors the Union Hall took down their signs off the building as to not associate themselves with the Tea Party attendees. Tony Suarez from Boca Raton shared, “To go to all that effort of removing signs on the lies of an ignorant individual just floors me.” Suarez continued, “If that is the way they are going to treat people who rent their hall then those considering should look elsewhere lest the same guy spreads rumors on them.” Ultimately, there was no stumping except individuals complaining about high tax burden, too much government spending, and reducing the crushing debt!

When Allen West came at 11:00 PM at night the room roared with cheers of joy to see the man they sent to Washington DC. He spoke about the budget battle, Pakistan, and a few other topics. At the end of the speech just as the Congressman was about to put his coat on the room without prompt commenced to sing God Bless America. Enjoy the video.

Something I wrote in a comments box earlier today, that I want to share......

I think that those who think that minds are not changed by THE PEOPLE need to read history, and learn about how we have Eisenhower as one of our former Presidents!! He even cried, I have read, when it was becoming clear that THE PEOPLE were seriously wanting him to run.

WASHINGTON is said to have asked if he had not already served his country enough when THE PEOPLE told him that they wanted HIM for their President. He stopped after two terms, and refused the request for KING. But he was, and is, our first President of the US, and it was THE PEOPLE who drafted him.

We have 'waited' for the Party to pick our candidates for YEARS (since IKE) We have allowed the MEDIA and the PARTY to select those that they choose to hand us on a tray to vote for. We cannot allow that to happen again, if we truly believe that our nation is in danger, our Constitution is in danger.

I believe that West is the man we need NOW, and I believe that WE THE PEOPLE can step up and DRAFT that man, just as my parents generation drafted EISENHOWER!

YES, he can refuse ... but he has NOT refused. He has NOT said he would not run. What he has said is that he is NOT going to start campaigning at this stage of the game like another did before him, but is going to do the job that he was elected to do, and learn as much as he can while doing that in the HOUSE OF THE PEOPLE. And, then, as far as the rest goes, he is depending on GOD, his wife and family, and THE PEOPLE to lead him and give him direction. He has said that if GOD wants this to be, it will happen.

Now, did he use my words? NO, But he has NOT shut the door at any time, and he has repeatedly said we should pray for him, and that he will do the will of God, his wife, and THE PEOPLE.

There is a verse that says something like the double minded man will get nothing (that is very paraphrased)... another says to let your yes be yes, your no be no. I am not going to be double-minded. I want WEST to be my President after the 2012 election, and I am working on that.

I am trusting God, Mrs West and family to show Allen West the way HE wants West to go, and doing my part to show West what I, one of the PEOPLE, need him to do. I believe that West will answer that call when enough of us begin to speak clearly that we want him to run.

And I am not sorry that this is so long. GO WEST, 2012!!

In this letter, he says what I and many others think. I realize it is long, but I am posting it here in its entirety.

Before you begin to tell me that West has said he isn't interested, what he has said is he is open, and it depends on God, his wife, and the People. We are the People. He has also said that if God wants it, it will happen. God uses people.

The People drafted George Washington. The People drafted Ike Eisenhower. We have had enough of those picked by the Republicans and the media. It is time for the People to check out this man and then speak to those who 'choose' our candidates. We do NOT want more of the same. I want Allen West, and my reasons are all the videos I have posted, as well as what Scott writes below.

Before you tell me that he 'has no experience, look above at the People's statement on that. They drafted IKE, they drafted GEORGE. Sorry, but we don't need someone to sit through Congress (like Obama did... like Newt did... nor Governor, like Romney and Huckabee did). Right now, we need a LEADER with integrity who is smart enough to LEAD, and to gather around him advisors to work toward saving our country. I think 2016 may be too late for our country. Allen West served as a LEADER for 22 yrs in the military. He KNOWS how to lead. He IS ready. He is open to God, his wife, and the PEOPLE. He is my candidate!

The letter I sent out to my FB friends...

I'm sending this e-mail to you, my Facebook friends who I believe have the same (or very similar) views on politics as I do. This isn't something I normally do...send out mass e-mails pushing a politician.

However, I think we have reached a time in this country where individuals need to get up and take a stand. I'm doing just that.

I'm not going to sit back and let the Republican Establishment nominate another RINO for us without me getting involved. We don't need some "I watch the polls to see what I believe in" elitist RINO running against Obama in 2012. No more ALLEGED Republicans flip-flopping their views on a weekly basis to try to scam their way into picking up votes.

As bad as Obama is, it's tough taking out a sitting President. There are still a lot of Liberal kool-aid drinkers among our voting population, who will say, "We can't expect Obama to turn things around in only 4 years. Let's give him another 4." We need to nominate someone who has what it takes to beat him. Another lackluster Republican nominee will probably doom the country to another four years of Obama.

Republicans need to nominate a leader in the truest sense of the term and resist the temptation to settle for a safe, generic nominee. The best chance Republicans have for success in 2012 will be with a candidate who provides a stark and unmistakable contrast to Obama. A candidate who is a fearless leader and a convincing communicator that is determined to put this country back on a path towards its original constitutional moorings. A candidate who will take President Obama to
the mat on every issue as the opportunity presents itself. Are you going to agree with everything this candidate believes in? No, but what we need is a leader more than anything else.

Am I able to get the person nominated all by myself? No. And that is precisely why I'm hoping to recruit some, if not all, of you. If you all research my choice of candidate and like what he is about, please inform all of your friends. I'm hoping to be one of the small parts of a massive snowball effect. There are many other people around the
country doing this as well for this person...if enough 'snowballs' get rolling, we most certainly can make a difference.

When I look at the current occupant of the White House, I see someone who has absolutely NO leadership skills. He has been behind on every major issue that has crossed his desk. It seems as if he has no clue how to do anything that his job entails. If he'd spend less time golfing, going on vacations, hosting parties at the White House or filling out his NCAA basketball picks on national TV, maybe he could improve as the Leader of the Free World. I don't foresee that happening, though. He seems fairly content on sending more troops into the Middle East to engage in military action with Libya while he vacations in Rio with his family. That is not leadership!!

I can imagine many of you asking why I've spent the time and effort to send this out. Why am I so passionate about this?

It's because I know what America was and I know what America can be, and I want to leave for my children and future grandchildren the best of what America has to offer, and I'm going to make sure that I do everything I can to get the right leader in place to make that a reality. The current President has taken America so far down the totem pole from where we used to be and where we should be that I can no longer stay silent. I am going to do whatever I can to make sure that I get the word out and make sure that I tell everyone I can why I am pushing this person.

I feel that it's important that we UNITE to choose the best candidate to replace Obama. But, from what I see, most folks are listening to the hearts, not their heads. We need to give this country the leader it needs.

That leader is ALLEN WEST. He is he man we should and need to vote for.

He has everything needed to be an outstanding President...excellent leadership skills, integrity, intelligence, honor, undying love for this nation, knowledge and dedication to the Constitution of the United States, a willingness to uphold all of our nation's Conservative values, and a backbone...an ability to tell it like it is without being
wishy-washy.

Allen West is a breath of fresh air. He says what needs to be said. He says what a majority of Americans are thinking and does it with knowledge and authority. He believes in and loves the America that I believe in and love...the America that I want to leave for my children.

I would encourage each and every one of you who loves our country to please take a little time and go to YouTube and watch some of the Allen West videos of his speeches and interviews. I think you will learn a lot about this man, and I think you will be impressed!!!! He speaks from the heart. No teleprompters. No high-priced speech-writers.

TORNADO!!! Psalms 34:7

Power came on about 4 AM CDT. Tonight, the angels were with us.

Apparently there is a garage down about a block over, with many trees down. I have not seen the damage two and more blocks north of us, but heard that there is more there. Heard that a house is gone on 9th St.

Reports were of a touchdown at 12^th and Sullivan (the block behind our house).

If 15th St came through, it would mean our house would probably never have been built, since it would be here. So you can tell it was very close.

We were eating when the storm was first being talked about, and then the first sirens went off. I believe that was a bit before 7:30 PM. I told Mom we'd watch, but we may have to go to the basement. She was eating, and watching the TV news,... which took over the network sometime with just storm reports.

As it started to come closer, I suggested to Mom that she may want to -- you know, dignity here -- but we still watched the radar. Mom was getting anxious, and I knew she wasn't able to fully understand. I'd made sure she had her evening meds a bit early just in case, and I took things downstairs that I wanted to be safe (all her meds, incluiding her inhaler, mine, my puter and purse, my cell phone and landline, my Kindle -- for the light on the cover, as my flashlight had very dim batteries after no real use...
Finally, they began to tell us that the storm was now approaching Neenah, Menasha and Appleton area, heading toward us. I told Mom that we now were being told to get to a safe place and she made a bee line to the -- you know -- and I began to pray a bit harder for safety until I could get her to head down with me... LOL.

We were working our way to the basement, slowly, when Mom became very apprehensive. But she's a trooper, and she followed me down, holding the railing and my shoulder, one step at a time. There is a bed down there, and I had her sit, telling her that if she wanted to, she could curl up and go to sleep, snuggled warm like a bug in a rug. First, she needed her inhaler, and I'd brought a water bottle down for her, so she had that. Then she said... I need Kleenex!

Oh, man... I forgot the Kleenex! I ran up, got it, came down, and the lightening was increasingly violent.....

I got down, gave it to Mom, we grinned at my lack of insight, and then she curled up into her usual sleep position, and got under the quilt. I believe it was at that point that my oldest called and others began texting me... THEN, the phone I forgot -- HERS -- began to ring! Thinking it was a sibling, I raced up the steps, grabbed the phone, looked at caller ID and found..... I'd POCKET-DIALED MOM when I put my cell phone down!!!!!

THEN, the front door blasts open, and I ran to shut it tight, ran downstairs. STILL no rain, just violent lightening. I sent my message for prayers sometime before that, and then came back on for one more reassurance .... and right after I ...hit enter, the WIND came ROARING, the RAIN came HARD, and then... the lights flickered and... gone. No power, no landline, no TV, nothing. A short time later, emergency vehicle sirens sounding VERY close, getting closer, then silent

However, cell phones ringing-- something had happened at 12th and Sullivan, just blocks from here. Texts flying IN... not OUT.... all saying 'pending, could not send'... a few got through. Six people trying at once to get hold of us... Mom asked me if I was having fun... Not.

Oldest daughter called again, were we OK, did we need candles, did we want to go to her house ( uhm, she has cats, but we'd have gone if there was a need...) Do we need a flashlight? Told her yes, we could use candles, perhaps a flashlight, and that we were fine, would not have to leave the house. She said she was on her way. I told her to wait til all clear came through, but she didn't.

So, Mom decides she would really like to go upstairs and see what's happening (she sees all the flashing lights from the lightening), and we walked slowly with the light from my Kindle, she got very winded going up the steps -- part of it w...as anxiety, understandably-- I felt anxious, too. Not long after we got up, and Mom was sitting in her chair .. (yes, we all know that HER chair is HER chair...=D) when a car races into the driveway -- not really, he was just driving ..) and a nephew is here to make sure we are ok, and tells us about the rain at HIS place of work... SUDDENLY going from straight down to HORIZONTAL!! And he has video to prove it! Sideways!!!! Next, my oldest daughter comes walking to the house, because they streets were blocked off, and we learn that a block away there is a hot wire down, and a bit further away, there is a tree hanging on a wire, and that block is a mess... then, as my daughter and her friend are leaving, a niece and her boyfriend came from Appleton to make sure Mom was ok. My nephew had left his car in our driveway to walk down and check out the damage, and he returned, shared his video with us, and told us what it was like trying to open hotel door (4 in only with a lot of force, then he was pushed back by the force of the wind, closing the door.)

Mom has no memory of the tornado, being in the basement, anyone coming over. She is comfortably sleeping since about 11:00. She is OK, but she knew that something was going on. Wanted to know why we had candles on the table and in the Bathr...oom, and was surprised to hear we had no power since sometime around 8:30. Wanted to know why there was so much traffic, etc. But she's a trooper, and she did just great.

Thank God, all is well HERE.... please keep those with damage in prayer. I have not heard if there were injuries any place or not.

We are well. The skies were clear when we came up from the basement, but it has gotten cold. Was in mid 70's earlier, and hot in the house before the tornado. Now that electricity is working, the furnace has kicked in (was not all that cold in the house).

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. This has been my song, prayer tonight.... =D

Archbishop Charles J. Chaput of Denver encouraged a gathering of pro-life University of Notre Dame students to be courageous in fighting for their beliefs and to always remember what being Catholic really means.

“(W)e need to learn that not from the world; not from the tepid and self-satisfied; and not from the enemies of the Church, even when they claim to be Catholic; but from the mind and memory of the Church herself, who speaks through her pastors,” he said in an April 8 speech at the university.

First, I was impressed that an orthodox speaker was at Notre Dame, though the fact that it was pro-life students who invited Archbishop Chaput to speak indicates why he was there. And that sentence above speaks very clearly about those who claim to be Catholic, yet promote anti-life issues and values, especially those in our government over the past decades.

The devil, the archbishop said, “works in the present to capture our hearts and steal our future. But he also attacks our memory; the narrative of our own identity.” This is because our memory of history conditions our thoughts and choices in our daily lives.

Also very impressed that he openly spoke of evil as a 'person' or 'being' -- the devil. His statement here not only reminds me of the saying by Edmund Burke, but also gives an insight as to one of the ways the enemy works in our everyday life. It is important to remember the past, but not a revised history, as some would give us today.

Archbishop Chaput encouraged his audience to participate in politics, saying, “Christ never absolved us from defending the weak, or resisting evil in the world, or from solidarity with people who suffer.”

Catholics cannot exclude their religious beliefs from guiding their political behavior, because God sees that this “duplicity” is a kind of cowardice. This lack of courage wounds Christians’ individual integrity and also discourages others who try to witness publicly to their faith.

Christians should act on their beliefs always with humility, charity and prudence, but also always with courage, he emphasized.

“We need to fight for what we believe,” he said. “Nothing we do to defend the human person, no matter how small, is ever unfruitful or forgotten. Our actions touch other lives and move other hearts in ways we can never fully understand in this world. Don’t ever underestimate the beauty and power of the witness you give in your pro-life work.”

The archbishop also described abortion as “the foundational human rights issue of our lifetime."

“We can’t simultaneously serve the poor and accept the legal killing of unborn children. We can’t build a just society, and at the same time legally sanctify the destruction of generations of unborn human life,” he added.

I could not agree more! MANY of our problems today are based on those missing people since before the 1973 Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton US Supreme Court decisions. Why before? Because those not here due to contraception are just as missed in society as are those that we can count -- the aborted. We will never know how many individuals were killed by the abortifacient birth control pills, IUD's, etc. Since the 1960's when the Pill was introduced, many things have changed, and most are not good. The stronger pills, in the beginning, may easily have never allowed conception, however, women also died from long use of them. I watched one as a young nurse...and even her MD knew it was his prescribing the Pill for nearly 10 yrs that was responsible for her intercranial hemorrhage. But the newer, less strong Pill does not always prevent conception, and can cause that pregnancy to be aborted chemically, because it is unable to implant. They are causes of chemical abortions, and we will never know how many children have been lost because of this.

He noted that people are discussing the need to return science to its “rightful place” in human life, warning that this can become a slogan to justify unethical research. Citing the Jewish bioethicist Leon Kass, he said the present day is an age of “salvific science” in which a “scientific savior” supposedly takes away the “sin of suffering.”

Yet science accountable to no moral authority outside itself leads to “a hatred of imperfection” in real human persons, and the simplest way to deal with imperfections is to eliminate the imperfect.

And that, my friends, is where our memory of history (first, the KNOWLEDGE of it) must enter into our formed conscience, especially today. For we MUST remember the kind of thinking that was taking place in Germany when th T4 Program was being implemented!! If you do not know what that program was, then you must educate yourself on it, for much of today's 'thinking' is fully in line with that thought which allowed mentally ill, cognitively disabled, physically disabled, and the elderly to be murdered, even before the killing of Jews and others ever began!!

We need to familiarize ourselves with people like Clemens August von Galen 1878-1946 who spoke out against this. We need to stop thinking 'I would not want to live like that', because it IS devaluing life. Many people are dying, pre-born and elderly, especially, but also young people who have had brain damage, but ARE NOT DYING, as Terri Schindler Schiavo.

"Virtue does matter,” the archbishop said as he finished his talk. “Courage and humility, justice and perseverance, do have power. Good does win. And the sanctity of human life will endure.”

The sanctity of life will endure, he said, because young men and women like those in his audience will remember that “God so loved the world that He gave his only Son” and “it’s worth fighting for what’s right.”

I truly hope that his message gets to MANY of the younger generation, and that they all begin to stand firmly for all life. I see so many younger people doing just this, and the number, hopefully, will continue to grow until NO ONE is put to death simply for being 'unproductive eaters', or 'flawed'... for right now, they are beginning to look toward MY generation as our retirement (and cost of care) is coming...
