Emerson - Mommy's Nose is Scary! (Original)

I just LOVE laughing baby videos and wish someone would make a long couple of hours of one right after another so that I could play it over and over and giggle right along with them... this one is precious. Emerson is both scared, and giggling when his mother blows her nose!

I know someone who REALLY could scare him when that someone blows his/her nose every AM (nope, not going to give any clues as to whom this could be other than to say it is NOT ME, but is related....

God bless!!

Nuclear plant chief weeps--Radiation Level Rased to same as Three Mile Island

Nuclear plant chief weeps as Japanese finally admit that radiation leak is serious enough to kill people | Mail Online

The boss of the company behind the devastated Japanese nuclear reactor today broke down in tears - as his country finally acknowledged the radiation spewing from the over-heating reactors and fuel rods was enough to kill some citizens

Japan's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency admitted that the disaster was a level 5, which is classified as a crisis causing 'several radiation deaths' by the UN International Atomic Energy.

Officials said the rating was raised after they realised the full extent of the radiation leaking from the plant. They also said that 3 per cent of the fuel in three of the reactors at the Fukushima plant had been severely damaged, suggesting those reactor cores have partially melted down.

St Patricks Day 2011 Flashmob. Central Station, Sydney, Australia.

LOVE it!

I've had this saying for years, but the Irish was corrected this year... it surely does fit this video....

"Tá muid na héireann. Friotaíocht Tá futile. Beidh tú a chomhshamhlú."

" We are the Irish. Resistance is useless. You will be assimilated."

HAPPY ST PADDY'S DAY!!

Baby-phobia Has Reached Epidemic Proportions

Amen, Mary Kochan!

Imagine the crushing judicial power of a modern nation coming down upon you, trying you, sentencing you, and then planning your execution – all while the charges against you remain secret. You might recall that as the plot of Franz Kafka’s paranoiac novel, The Trial, the protagonist of which is a 30-year-old bank clerk. Under the spell of Kafka’s masterful telling, the reader is left feeling almost as though the horror of the sentence pales in comparison to simply not knowing why.

I revisited the haunted feeling of that novel over the past week or so as the case of the 13-month-old baby, Joseph Maraachli, played out in the media. Just as it seemed a few years ago that the juggernaut of state power in the United States had inexplicably determined to crush the life out of Terri Schiavo, now the state power of Canada was turned against an ill infant. In Terri Schiavo’s case, however, there was a family member who was complicit, who had brought the state power to bear; but in the case of Baby Joseph, his parents wanted him to live, or at least to be properly treated until (if as doctors predicted) his degenerative illness carried him away. That is to say, they did not want him denied treatment just because he was only going to die anyway.

Don’t Have an Abortion for Any Man--British TV Star says

British TV Star Tells Women: “Don’t Have an Abortion for Any Man”

Jose Gibson:

“He waited until I was three months gone to let me know he didn’t want it,” said Gibson. “I even had baby names picked and he turned around and told me that he didn’t want our child and that I should get rid of it.”

Gibson, now 26, admits, “I’ve regretted my abortion ever since. . . .I wept for hours. I knew straight away that it was a mistake.”

She added: “I didn’t really want to have an abortion. But I did it anyway, to please him. Big mistake.”

Her advice to other women in a similar situation is: “Don’t be forced into anything, don’t have an abortion for any man. Everything will work out alright in the end if you stay true to your own heart.”

The full article is not long, and can be found here.

'Litany for Japan'; Christian martyrs and Muslim barbarism

'Litany for Japan'; Christian martyrs and Muslim barbarism

From Australian Catholic journalist Andrew Rabel (edited):

    'Dear friends:

'Some of you were personally acquainted with Father Ragheed Ganni (1972-2007), the Iraqi Chaldean priest who was murdered outside his church in Mosul, with three deacons, after being asked if he would renounce his faith.

'Now there is a website established to obtain testimonies about him. I was on the telephone yesterday to a friend, a parish housekeeper in Perth, who looked after him for about a week when he was visiting Australia. (He has a sister who lives in Sydney as well.) She was full of stories about the humility and kindness of this man, and also how he sensed that somehow this would be his destiny.

'It makes me wonder when God asks a person the supreme sacrifice of offering his or her life for Him, whether this invitation is actually given some time before the event itself. Hence the person who has said 'yes' knows his or her fate and acquires a serenity that seems somewhat other-worldly. Father Ganni constantly said that he wished to return to Iraq; he studied at the Irish College in Rome and had assignments in Ireland — where he was very popular — and in Sweden. But he knew he would likely be killed, and that is what happened. Still, he was always very joyful and serene.

'The Church so often says it must rewrite the martyrologies, and Father Ganni and Pakistani minister Shahbaz Bhatti are two marvelous contemporary witnesses to our Catholic faith. Let us all be inspired by their example.'
There is more at his blog site, from Wm Donahue about this topic. Please use the hyperlink in the title above to finish reading this very interesting commentary.
