Mama Says

I was sent an article about Sarah Palin stopping for diapers in OH, and went to the blog that had been the source of the email. While there, I found THIS, and the following question:

Mama Says:
How can Obama lead a people, if he won't recognize a person?

STEALING THE ELECTION IN BATTLEGROUND STATES!!

WISCONSIN is ONE of these states. My question is why hasn't this been taken care of long ago? Acorn has been under suspicion for a long time already. C'mon, people...

In some locations, ACORN employees have allegedly submitted false voter registration forms rather than obtaining registrations from actual eligible voters.

In Ohio in 2004, four ACORN employees were indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms.

•In January 2005 two Colorado ACORN workers were sentenced to community service for submitting false voter registrations. ACORN's regional director said, "we find it abhorrent and do everything we can to prevent it from happening.

•On November 1, 2006, four part-time ACORN employees were indicted in Kansas City, Missouri for voter registration fraud. Prosecutors said the indictments are part of a national investigation. ACORN said in a press release that it is in part responsible in these individuals being caught, has fired them, and has cooperated and publicly supported efforts to look into the validity of the allegations.

•ACORN was investigated in 2006 for submitting false voter registrations in St. Louis, Missouri. 1,492 fraudulent voter registrations were identified.

•In 2007, five Washington state ACORN workers were sentenced to jail time. ACORN agreed to pay King County $25 000 for its investigative costs and acknowledged that the national organization could be subject to criminal prosecution if fraud occurs again. According to King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg, the misconduct was done "as an easy way to get paid [by ACORN], not as an attempt to influence the outcome of elections."

•In 2008, the Michigan Secretary of State office told the Detroit Free Press that ACORN had been submitting a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications to vote. Oak Park town clerk Sandra Gadd said they have been seeing "lots of duplication from ACORN in recent months [...] They've been very cooperative [...] and they're willing to go door-to-door to do whatever they have to do to take care of this."

•State authorities in Nevada raided ACORN's offices in Las Vegas in 2008, alleging that its canvassers produced forms with false names, fictional addresses, or famous personalities. Neither ACORN nor any employees, however, have been charged with fraud or other crimes.

•October 8, 2008, Missouri officials announced an investigation into alleged voter fraud concerning some ACORN registered names. Some names were listed multiple times, had fake/missing addresses, no drivers licenses, bad social security numbers, etc.

•As of October 9, 2008 the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections was carrying out investigation into possible voter fraud by ACORN in Ohio.

•On October 9, 2008 officials in Lake County, Indiana, said ACORN submitted 2,100 bogus registration forms.

Obama Hasn't Closed the Sale

Obama Hasn't Closed the Sale

Both candidates continue to tinker with their strategies.

In the campaign's final two weeks, voters will take a last serious look at both presidential candidates. The outcome of the race isn't cast in stone yet.

Barack Obama holds a 7.3% lead in the Real Clear Politics average of all polls, but the latest Gallup tracking poll reveals that there are nearly twice as many undecided voters this year than there were in the last presidential election. The Investor's Business Daily/TIPP poll (which was closest to the mark in predicting the 2004 outcome -- 0.4% off the actual result) now says this is a three-point race.

This week also brought a reminder that Sen. Obama hasn't closed the sale. The Washington Post/ABC poll found 45% of voters still don't think he's qualified to be president, about the same number who doubted his qualifications in March.

This is seven points more than George W. Bush's highest reading in 2000 and the worst since Michael Dukakis's 56% unqualified rating in 1988. It explains why Mr. Obama has ignored Democratic giddiness and done two things to keep victory from slipping away.

Obama's ACORN Voter Fraud

Ayers Is No Education 'Reformer' By SOL STERN

One of the most misleading statements during the presidential debates was when Barack Obama claimed that William Ayers was just "a guy in the neighborhood."

But that piece of spin is nothing compared to the false story now being peddled by Mr. Obama's media supporters that Mr. Ayers -- who worked with the Democratic nominee for years to disperse education grants through a group called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge -- has redeemed his terrorist past. In the New York Times, for example, Frank Rich writes that "establishment Republicans and Democrats alike have collaborated with the present-day Ayers in educational reform."

[Commentary] David G. Klein

I've studied Mr. Ayers's work for years and read most of his books. His hatred of America is as virulent as when he planted a bomb at the Pentagon. And this hatred informs his educational "reform" efforts. Of course, Mr. Obama isn't going to appoint him to run the education department. But the media mainstreaming of a figure like Mr. Ayers could have terrible consequences for the country's politics and public schools.

The education career of William Ayers began when he enrolled at Columbia University's Teachers College at the age of 40. He planned to stay long enough to get a teaching credential. But he experienced an epiphany in a course offered by Maxine Greene, who urged future teachers to tell children about the evils of the existing, oppressive capitalist social order. In her essay "In Search of a Critical Pedagogy," for example, Ms. Greene wrote of an education that would portray "homelessness as a consequence of the private dealings of landlords, an arms buildup as a consequence of corporate decisions, racial exclusion as a consequence of a private property-holder's choice."

That was music to the ears of the ex-Weatherman. Mr. Ayers acquired a doctorate in education and landed an Ed school appointment at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

UNBELIEVABLE!

Ok, I got this yesterday, and listened to it several times, and it boggles my mind how dumb people can be/are.

As Sal was asking his questions, I was shouting ... (ask my kids about that tendency of mine... sigh)...

Go listen to it, and let me know what you think!

I just cannot get over how many people have NO idea what the issues are, and who stands for which solution. OR even who is running! Yet, they are going to VOTE??

Lord, have Mercy!

God bless!

Conversations with an internal pollster for Obama...Very enlightening indeed! Posted by: David_Rasbold

I encourage you to not only read the article (HT to Meg of Alaska), but also many of the comments. But I have taken this excerpt, and highlighted for emphasis...

"As she was explaining her perspective it dawned on her to ask why he (the Obama internal pollster) was interested in her view of Palin. He replied that Obama's campaign is extremely nervous about the energized republican base and what he called the "unkown factor" regarding Palin's draw as a candidate.

In the polls they're conducting around the country, and my boss wasn't able to relay specific numbers, the Obama campaign is very, very worried about how Palin appears to be energizing whole groups of people who don't typically get energized about politics, precisely because she appeals so strongly to the middle class, as well as women and dissatisfied republicans that stayed home in 2006.

More than that, they don't know how to guage and predict the support of people typically turned off by politics, but that are enamored with her "up from the bootstraps" appeal.

I say all of this because this pollster conveyed strong concern about their standing going into the homestretch. They are very concerned about winning the vote of the middle class and whole swaths of the electorate they consider the "unkowns." In fact, and based on her conversation with this internal pollster for Obama, he's not ahead in the polls as we're being told. He's at best tied.

Look, take it for what it is. But what I know is that we're being sold a bill of goods by the media. Why? Not to be conspiratorial, but they likely just want to dispirit us, precisely because Obama has yet to seal the deal. He should be way ahead this season, but he's not.

I'll close by saying that we have several weeks left. The Obama camp internally knows they haven't wrapped this thing up. Let's keep on fighting (and even if we have to drag McCain over the finish line - as Rush fondly exhorts us to do - let's do it) and let's win this thing!"

Racine WI School System -- Indoctrination lesson?

Now Racine WI school system is also adding to the indoctrination of 8th graders!

HT to
Meg of Alaska (I have to tell her yet that she no longer needs to look for the url for me... )

Did a bit of googling, and I mean a BIT of googling, and came up with a lot of hits. ONE took me to the blog which a Racine WI mother contacted after seeing her child's textbook...Real Debate Wisconsin.

My 8th grade son is in an advanced English class at a public middle school here in Racine, Wisconsin. I just found out that my son's new (copyright 2008) Wisconsin - McDougal Littell Literature book has 15 pages covering Barack Obama.

I was shocked - No John McCain, no Hillary Clinton, no George Bush - Just Barack Obama. I'm wondering how it is that Obama's story gets put into an 8th grade literature book? It would be one thing, if it was just the tidbit about his boyhood days, but 15 pages, and they talk about his "Life of Service". Honestly, what has Obama really done to be included in this book? Not only that, but on page 847 there is a photo of Obama at the 2004 Democratic Convention with at least 8 Obama signs in the background! Front & center is an
www.obama2004.com sign.

Now I understand that many teachers are liberals, but does the school have the right to shove Obama down our kid's throats? All the kids grouped together and read the story. After that, they discussed it... I guess it appears that Obama is planning ahead. If he doesn't get his coveted Presidency, Obama is going to make sure, that the younger generations know all about him, and his "life of service".

If you would like to see the 15 page story on Obama, it appears that you can order this book online. There is a note in the book that says, For more on Barack Obama, visit the Literature Center at
www.ClassZone.com The book is: Wisconsin - 8th grade - McDougal Littell Literature - copyright 2008. The Obama story starts on page 830. I hope you will take the time to look at this book. I'm really angry about this - In fact, I would love to rip the pages right out of this book.

By the way, you might find this interesting: I did a little checking on McDougal Littell, and it appears that MCDOUGAL, ALFRED L CHICAGO , IL 60611 - N/A/RETIRED has been making contributions to Barack Obama's campaign!

I found that information on this website.
http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?st=IL&last=MCDOUGAL&first=ALFRED
Now I'm not an expert at these things (just a PTA mom), but It looks to me like Alfred McDougal is connected to McDougal Littell the same company that publishes the 8th grade textbook that has 15 pages on Obama. Like I said, I'm not an expert, but I'm sure you have someone who can delve into the dirty little details.

I guess my question is: Is it ethical for an Obama supporter to publish an educational book which has a 15 page Barrack Obama story in it? If the tax payers are paying for these books, why is it okay for McDougal Littell to promote Obama? This really bothers me. I would have no problem with it, if Obama had actually done something important. Why is Obama being put up on a pedestal, before he actually wins the pedestal? All I can say, is we can thank the liberal media, and now the liberal book publishers. Thanks to them, I'm sure there are probably thousands of these books all across the United States.

But there are other posts at this blog that are REALLY worth taking the time to read, because they are right on. This is pure and unadulterated indoctrination, and I wonder how many OTHER schools have purchased this book??

Racine schools hand out textbook with 15 page Obama love-fest...

Obama indoctrination story is growing.

There is a list of the growing number of places that this is being reported....

A local liberal newspaper.

"When I find something in the local paper or have need to credit them for this or that, I mention them by name and credit them appropriately for their work."   --read the rest on Real Debate Wisconsin

And THIS one is very good!

The indoctrination of our youth part II, get out the vote.

Context matters folks. In the piece that we released on Monday evening that caught national attention yesterday people tried to make it about Barack (censored) Obama; it is not. This is about a school system and a textbook publisher pushing an agenda and they are using Barack Obama as a conduit to promote that leftist agenda.

God bless!

Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies

I just love it when a comment comes in that is designed to minimize something said, to end discussion of a Valid point by use of a 'quotation' that is inaccurate in itself.

This happened again today. The writer referred to GOODWIN's Law. Could it be a typo? I don't think so. Because this writer also has the 'law' wrong, and the use of it is not what Godwin stated.

Anonymous said...

With all due respect, the leap escapes me. How do we get from kids singing about Obama (a little sappy but cute) to Hitler?
Goodwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies states that there is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically "lost" whatever debate was in progress.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke

"Better be despised for too anxious apprehensions, than ruined by too confident security." Edmund Burke

By the way, it is GODWIN, not GOODWIN's Law. And the part that YOU have used here is NOT from Godwin. It is designed to stop any accurate discussion of comparisons between today's events and historical events by minimizing what has been said to tripe. It will not work here.

God bless!

Godwin's Law does not apply to Lori Kalner's email warning us of the use of propaganda, and this one, specifically the use of children. Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies is NOT what the anonymous writer stated it is... Lori's email is an APPROPRIATE discussion, and is from a woman who LIVED, OBSERVED, LEARNED and is warning us about the kinds of propaganda used to bring Hitler to power. Hence, anonymous from Detroit MI will not end any discussion here of legitimate comparisons of then..and now... God bless!

Godwin's law was first formulated in 1990 by Mike Godwin. It reads:

As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one.

In plain english: Sooner or later in a discussion, someone is going to compare something to either Hitler or NaziGermany.

A very popular addon to this rule is that whoever makes the Nazi/Hitler-comparsion automatically forfeits the argument in favor of his or hers opponent. This has been criticized several times with the argument that there are many occasions where such comparison actually can be valid. It should be noted that Godwin's law do not apply to discussions regarding genocide, propaganda or other attributes directly linked to NaziGermany.

Since the creation of the law, the term has spread to several different outlets. Among them are Slashdot, Wired, The Economist and The Smithsonian. The last one stated that when an adversary uses an inappropriate Hitler or Nazi comparison, 'you have only to say 'Godwin's Law' and a trapdoor falls open, plunging your rival into a pool of hungry crocodiles.'

Re: [WI Catholic Musings] New comment on A Message from Lori Kalner.

My response to Denny Gee is also published in the com box at the original page where the original comment was left, but it will get lost among all of the other entries. Therefore, I am also putting it here, with his original email (minus his email address) just as he sent it to me. There are hyperlinks below that will take you to the original, and this one takes you to where I wrote about 'one stop comment droppers'.

Taking Scripture out of context does not make a good case, Denny Gee.

The post that you responded to had NOTHING said about Obama, for one thing, but you seem to have forgotten that Jesus called things as they were, and HE loved everyone. He called the Scribes and Pharisees "names", and even told them WOE TO YOU, many times, as He admonished them for their sins!

He called them WHITE-WASHED TOMBS... FOOLS... BLIND GUIDES...BROOD OF VIPERS!

He was speaking Truth, and He was calling them on their behavior. Speaking to issues is NOT unChristian, Denny Gee. It is our duty to call attention to evil.

Trashing Mr Obama by speaking untruths about him would be wrong.

Trashing Mr Obama's stand on issues is not.

Speaking of a time in the past where certain behaviors and actions by a government led to more evil, which is happening again, is also not wrong. It is WARNING.

The Prophets often spoke things that people did not like to hear, and sometimes, things they said were not 'politically correct' in the way that they said them! When the people HEEDED their words, they ended up ok. Those who did NOT... well.. one example is Noah .. how many of those people who watched him build that Ark were actually ON the Ark when that Flood came??

HEED THIS VERY IMPORTANT WORD OF WARNING FROM THE LORD HIMSELF:

Ezekiel 3:
17: "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.

18: If I say to the wicked, `You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.

19: But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you will have saved your life.

20: Again, if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.

21: Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning; and you will have saved your life."

Believe me, MANY are praying for this election, and for the candidates of this election. But God does NOT just call us to pray. He calls us to ACTION, and to speak out against things that are not good, are not what they seem to be... He calls us to His Truth. He sends warnings before Judgement!

As for your signature... I have no idea at all if you are a true believer/servant or not, but you are a CHILD of the Living God for certain.

As am I.

God bless!

Tit 3:1 & 2; Put them in mind to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to every good work, (2) to speak evil of no one, not being quarrelsome, but forbearing, showing all meekness to all men.

Along with many other scriptures that tell us, who are Christians, what not to do! Likewise, we are to seek our Abba Father when we have concerns about anything or anyone! Do you remember Matthew 6:33 and 34, Seek you first the kingdom of God!

How do you say you love God when you do not love your neighbor! Very important to remember that we have responsibilities when we say we love Jesus and follow the teachings of our Lord and Master!

Yes, it is alright to have concerns regarding Mr. Barrack Obama and the presidency of our America but we don't wallow in the mud of the pigs to put him down! If you disagree with Mr. Obama, you pray for him, not trash him!

You have concerns for others, you want this one or that one healed or saved or filled with the Holy Spirit; the same thing applies here!
We are commanded to love our neighbor,we don't have to like him, but we must love him! If you are going to follow the teachings of Jesus in one way, you have to follow His teachings in all ways! You can not pick and choose what you will profess today or tommorrow! You must be a complete Christian, taking and holding all of His teachings as special and as your direction for you life!

I say to you, if you send emails around that bad mouth Mr. Obama, then you are backbitting and you do not love God!

Gotta love those comments...

When I get a comment from someone who visits ONE page, and makes comments on that ONE PAGE that do not even relate to the message ON THAT ONE PAGE, I get suspicious, and I check my blog stats to make sure that the person really only did visit ONE PAGE, and for how long.... That is what happened again today. Funny, but the COMMENT that was written would take MUCH longer than the time that was spent on my blog alone, much less to read the post that was commented on, and then comment on it.

I am going to post the comment, after I have time to formulate my OWN response to Denny Gee, because the use of Scripture taken out of place to 'prove' the case presented is one that is often used by those who want to ignore what is being said, and just label the person saying it as judgmental, or ignorant... or whatever. But we are CLEARLY told in Scripture that we are to admonish sinners, even to the point where our own soul may be in danger if we do not do so! So, stay tuned, and I'll add an update here with a link after I am finished with my response. Until then, Denny Gee's comment waits in my email box.

Oh, note that even though it says that Denny Gee had 2 page views, please note that the pages are the same, and only show as two after Denny Gee left to LEAVE his comment (not write his comment... LEAVE his comment), and then returned to the original page before leaving....
