Catholic Answers Forums - Are both people in a divorce viewed equally by the Catholic Church?

MORE people need to hear and read this than just those on the forum.

Civil divorce does NOT end your marriage OR your vows, and further, can NEVER make you 'single again'. Single means NEVER MARRIED. Widowed means once married, spouse has died. DIVORCED means Married, and a Civil Divorce ended the civil portion of your marriage. But Jesus Himself said that no mere man can end any marriage... and don't tell me that God was not present when you spoke those vows in HIS Presence, and that of your family and friends.... very few marriages are invalid from the beginning, regardless of what today's Tribunals and Society would have us believe...
