US SUPREME COURT TO HEAR PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION CASE

The US Supreme Court will hear the pending case on a late term abortion (the Partial Birth Abortion that was passed and then challenged because there was no 'health of the mother' clause in it...

There IS NEVER a reason to do this kind of abortion "For the Health of the Mother".... never. The solution for health of mother at that stage of a pregnancy is to induce or if an emergency, C-Section.

Period.

However, you understand that if they USE this to save the mother... they will have TWO living patients before and after .....

Great post! Even the AMA came out and said this procedure is NOT needed to save the life of the mother. In fact, it's more dangerous and time consuming than a quick C-section would be.

But as you pointed out, a C-Section produces two living patients. Which speaks volumes about the real purpose of the procedure (and it has nothing to do with "saving lives.")

Anyone who thinks about it would realize this fact! A C-Section is set up and done rapidly. Very rapidly.

To accomplish this procedure requires the time to dilate the cervix sufficiently, time to turn the baby into the OPPOSITE of normal delivery, (and not just that, but feet first!) and pull the infant through the canal with the smallest part first, until just before the head is delivered (the largest part!)

And this isn't causing more Trauma to the woman??

This 'technique' was never started for the HEALTH OF THE MOTHER. The Health of the Mother would required the safest and fastest way to end the pregnancy (and if inducing labor would take too long or add stress to the mother's health, the C-Section is the surest way to save her life!)

This procedure was started SOLELY to make sure of fetal demise, period, and to prevent 'accidents' like Gianna Jessen from ever happening. To prevent a living child being born after attempted abortions in late terms. To prevent the staff/doctors from being upset listening to babies gasp for breath and cry from the container that 'products of conception' have been tossed into...

Anyone who knows anything about birth knows that breech deliveries are very hard deliveries. Just the thought of someone forcing the baby into delivering feet first turns my stomach!

I had posterior labor/delivery, and had vaccum extractor to turn him into better delivery position... and it was not comfortable.

The AMA joined those of us saying that this was never necessarly...long after many of us were saying it. People just don't THINK.
