Another 'Shot Heard Round The World'

Just read Peggy Noonan's column for today, and I am not sure that I agree with her. The difference is that she has been in the circles of gov't and I am a private citizen from the Midwest.

But I am hoping that if it does happen, it truly IS Cheney's decision, and not pressure instigated at the behest of a MSM that stinks.

The coverage of this 'Shot Heard Round the World' as the Doctor called it on the press conference a bit ago has been an example of hate-mongering and 'shoot him while he's down' thinking. 'Get him!' is what I hear in the anger of the feeding frenzy evident in the White House Press Corps. Revenge, because he did not give THEM the 'scoop', and is not their favorite person.

A terrible precedent to set, IMHO. Driving out elected officials seems to have become viewed by some news correspondents as their primary duty.

We are also (in the medical/dental field) under HIPAA Laws. I was listening yesterday to some of the Medical opinions yesterday, wondering if any of this was in violation of those privacy laws. Apparently, the spokesmen for the Hospital mentioned this today, also.

I also sit here and wonder what happened to the REAL story of the day, and why this was not covered by MSM. Al Gore, a former Vice President, goes to Saudi Arabia and accuses the US of mistreating Arabs, and no one covers it? This to me, when we are at war, when some are thinking that Iraq's weapons of mass destruction may have been shipped there or elsewhere prior to its beginning... when Fires and Hate protests are being manifested throughout the world over CARTOONS printed in Denmark last fall... when the US is already hated for the already prosecuted Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse, and MORE pictures are being released... is, again, IMHO, nearly treason.

To make those statements HERE is bad enough, but to go to the Middle East and make them THERE, speaking as a US CITIZEN, FORMER VICE PRESIDENT of the US... is inexcusable.

But our MSM would rather focus on a hunting accident that was not reported to THEM so that they could 'scoop' the story?

Those Gore comments really T'd me off! And of course the media focuses on a trivial thing like why Cheney didn't call them when his friend was bleeding to death. UGH!

A liberal just chimed in on the topic on my blog...thought you might want to put her in her place with me, lol.

Did you hear Dick is planning to go quail hunting again this weekend?
He invited former President Clinton along and told Bill to bring his wife. ;-)

But seriously folks, Cheney Doesn't Owe the Media an Apology

The hissy fit thrown by the national media appears to be working. Just like
spoiled children, the media’s temper tantrum over the lack of information
flowing directly to them regarding Vice President Cheney’s hunting accident has
now started to yield results. Democrats, media members, and even some
Republicans are beginning to criticize the vice president. Get real! Iran is
enriching uranium, and the only concern in Washington appears to be the hurt
feelings of left-wing journalists.

RFLOL I think I like your sense of humor, and NO, I had not heard that...

Exactly! There are MANY more important things going on in the world than where the news first came from about Cheney's accidentally shooting a hunting buddy.

Iran worries me tremendously. The situation over there is spreading, and I am sure that the staged 'protests' are all tied together. I can't see it stopping anytime soon.

My concern is also those here (and world-wide, too) who think that the Islamofascists are just 'extreme radicals'. What happens when those 'extreme radicals' begin to tell ALL Muslims that they, too, are like Christians and Jews, 'infidels'?? When they tell them that their peaceful version of Islam is a 'false religion'?

They (moderate, peaceful Muslims) are already afraid to speak out. So if the Islamofascists tell them to 'convert or die'... not a nice picture to think about, IMHO.

God bless you, Jason! Thanks for stopping by!
