Update on Prayers Needed for Deanna and Baby

On Feb 17th, I had received a prayer request from a friend about her pregnant DIL, with several updates on Feb 21 and 22. Subsequently, she left to go and be with her son and DIL, and has not been able to get in touch until tonight.

This is the updated information, with continued prayers being asked for DIL.

Again I ask for cont. prayers for Deanna and family.

The baby is doing very well but Deanna is still at high risk for stroke and hemorrhage--she has had 3 TIA's,blood clots, pneumonia and meningitis , resistance to antibiotics( MRSA)--staph aureus--very virulent---in isolation amd continued very severe headache with almost no sleep!

She has had 6 MRI's, 2 CAT scans, opening into the venticle of the brain, carotid sonogram, CVP line put in and removed with a PIC line put in, echo cardiogram, and tomorrow her 2nd sinus surgery- In spite of all this she is slowly improving, and yesterday got to see the baby although can't hold him.

All the specialists have never seen anything like this! Matthew is doing wonderfully however!--thank God!

Stephen's (Marti's son, Dad to Matthew) blood sugars have been over 500 and low--he has had almost no sleep either staying at the hospital with only a few hours at home since this started.

Please pray tomorrow that this will relieve her pain and headache and she will continue to heal! A Hematologist has been called in to see if she has a problem with her clotting mechanism
Deanna has not complained through any of this but she is really weak.--
