Prayers as my Journey continues

A year ago, I began a new journey. Today, I am taking another step, and asking for prayers.

I have a repeat colonoscopy this afternoon. If all is clear, I won't have to have another for three years. If they find something today, I have to have another in one year, depending on what it is.

Please pray that they find normal results. Last time I came out of the colonoscopy, I heard the words "We're on our way to CT Scan".... not good news. That meant that they found 'something'. They did. Cancer, Stage I upgraded to Stage II due to not having enough lymph nodes. However, all blood work since then, including cancer markers have been good! Praise the Lord.

I have a headache this morning, probably from a combination of the prep (TERRIBLE!!) , and being "NPO" (nothing by mouth) since midnight. That includes my usual coffee... I did take Tylenol with a sip of water (and it was cold, so I swished it around a lot before finally swallowing... oh, the joy of cool refreshing water....)

I am 'offering it up' today for another online friend who is also having colon problems...

Back later with results.

One year date from the beginning of this was May 29. One year date from the surgery will be June 11. God bless Dr D. Flanagan.

God bless!!

Addendum @ 9:20PM CDT June 9, 2008:

I am home, have eaten, have slept, feel MUCH better, and have a clean bill of health as far as Cancer goes. None. Praise the Lord!

Diverticulosis is what was found. I can live with that. Praise God's Holy Name.

Thank you all for the prayers!

God bless!!

Thanks, Jean! All is well. I do not need another colonoscopy for FIVE years!

Diverticulosis is the only thing found. Praise God, and again, thanks for the prayers. I am still groggy, a little dizzy, and just finished eating, so am going to lie down like a good girl.

God bless!
