"A Person's a person no matter how small" says Horton

Two and a half years ago, I wrote about Samuel Armas, one of the earlier pre-born surgeries that survived. Michael Clancy gave me permission to use his famous picture in my blog.

That story has been told many times over the years. Samuel had spina bifida, and they did his surgery to close the open spine at 21 weeks gestation. It was 1999. Samuel is now nearly ten years old.

But Samuel is not the only baby to have an operation prior to birth. Two recently were in the news. One, Macie Hope MacDonald had her surgery at 25 weeks, and is now about four weeks old, and healthy.... There is a link to the video that I am also including here. There is also several pictures of Macie after her birth, as well as one that shows the tumor which made the pre-birth surgery necessary. Should these links ever not work, I do have the story/photos saved.

The Second story is from Australia, and that pre-born infant was just 22 weeks old. She was born in January, and is named Leah. She is also healthy, though there is some damage to her R leg, according to the article. That video is also below, but can be found here. Again, if the links to the stories are ever non-functioning, I have saved the stories.

I invite you to watch both videos, and then read my further comments below.

The story about Macie Hope:

Dr Manny speaking about Leah:

Now these babies are the same ages that many abortions are being done on HEALTHY babies, but they are not called 'babies' in that instance. They are referred to as a 'fetus', 'products of conception', etc... It makes NO sense to me how any one wanting a baby calls it a baby, but suddenly when another chooses to abort that pre-born child cannot face this simple fact.

That pre-born baby is a baby. Always was a baby, always will be a baby no matter what terminology one chooses to use. Those babies, ALL of them, will be born, if not aborted, and will continue to grow through various stages of life. Infant, Toddler, Child, Pre-teen, Teen, Young adult, Middle aged Adult, all the way to Retired Adult and beyond until Natural Death. It is NEVER not human. Each has their own unique DNA and blood type. They are not just cells.

There are TWO patients involved in any pregnancy. TWO. Not one. TWO. If MD's can do surgery on the tiniest one while still in the uterus, how long will it be before 'you' pro-abortion advocates (or 'I am personally opposed, but.... ' advocates) recognize the fact that a BABY is dying in abortion?

A Baby is a Baby no matter which 'stage' of life it is in.

"A Person is a Person no matter how small"...

Congratulations to the parents of Macie and Leah, to the Doctors and Nurses involved, and best wishes to tiny Macie and Leah!

God bless!
