"Tilly" by Frank Peretti

A very long time ago, I read Frank Peretti's books as they came out. And they spread through many members of my friends. I had often spoken of Spirtual Warfare to some before he began to have them published, but not many understood what I was talking about.

As time passed, my Mom also read them, and in the one where a fourth grade teacher utilizes visualization/relaxation technique, it clicked with her. Her comment was "It only takes one teacher to undo a lot of hard work....". Exactly.

Now, today, I happened on a site that brought him back to mind, with this post.

In addition to having written Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness (and others), Peretti has written one called Tilly that I have never forgotten. And today, I learned that it has been made into a film!

This book is touching, and could be very profound for any who have been touched by abortion significantly. I went to the site suggested and watched the trailers. I am going to try to also see it in full, or even get it for my library. I am glad that I checked out my visitor tonight.

God bless!

Oh my gosh..Peretti is awesome!!! He's so awesome, though, that I couldn't read him, lol.

I started reading "The Prophet" by him and got so scared I had to stop reading. My husband read it though and loved it.

He snuck in two more that I did not read. I started when he only had Piercing the Darkness out, and his second came out right after, This Present Darkness. Yes, The Prophet was, but I think that the first two were also. It has been a long time since I read any of them (go by the dates that they came out, and you have an idea....)

Oh, Tilly is not scarey. Tilly is totally different than his other books, with an element of 'mystery' about the children she sees. Tilly, essentially, IMHO, is about healing and wholeness.

I remember the Peretti books back when we were getting arrested for operation rescue. It was all so real the warfare part.

Yes, VERY real, and not just in the operation rescue area, but in any area of life.

Another good read is CS Lewis' Screwtape Letters.

Eph 6:12 For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
