Bookworm: Kushner/ Ominous Statement of Principal

Bookworm has dissected Kushner's defense of Munich here, and did a very good job.

And another must read is entitled "Where do one person's rights end and another's begin" and can be found here. This one is about five teachers refusing to post a sign in their rooms that states it is safe ground for gays, lesbians, etc. The principal of the school has made a statement that sounds rather ominous...

Furtado said she is confident that every teacher eventually will comply
with the district mandate. She said she intends to work with those
teachers who have refused to ensure they comply with the order.

"We work in a public school," she said.
"I have no wish to change anyone's personal belief,
but we want all kids to feel safe.
That's where we have common ground."
