Oh, you just misunderstood Iran's President....

Which part of a call for Israel to be "wiped off the map" did we not understand?

Which part of "They have invented a myth that Jews were massacred and place this above God, religions and the prophets," do we not understand?

Which part of "The West has given more significance to the myth of the genocide of the Jews, even more significant than God, religion, and the prophets," he said. "(It) deals very severely with those who deny this myth but does not do anything to those who deny God, religion, and the prophet."
do we not understand?

Those are direct quotes from Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Ah, but now we find that he did not really mean it? Instead, we misunderstood?

Yeah, right.

I suspect that there is much more meaning to his rhetoric than even that Israel should be wiped off the map, and that the Holocaust was a myth. His continual reference to 'the prophets' has been giving me many 'foreboding' signals that say it is NOT just Israel. After all, Christians do not consider his prophet to BE a prophet, do we? And if he is truly, as has been claimed, one of those who held hostage so many Americans in that embassy... I don't think that I am misunderstanding THAT inference, either.
