First, we have Connecticut trying to interfere with the Church.
Now -- we have the possibility that the US Gov't is? Austin Ruse says:
A reliable source tells me that someone representing the Obama administration is about to put pressure on the papal nuncio to the United States to get Archbishop Raymond Burke to be quiet. The Obama complaint is that Archbishop Burke, who is now head of the Apostolic Signatura in Rome, has supported another bishop in his chastisement of Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius for her support of abortion.
Why is Archbishop Burke being targeted? Because in an interview recently, he discussed Sebelius' very public support of abortionist George Tiller, making her unfit for the office she has been nominated for -- US Dep't of Health and Human Services.
Ruse continues:
Burke commented on her fitness for office, saying that for Sebelius to be "placed in charge of the federal office with responsibilities for health and human services" is "sad for our nation" and a "source of great embarrassment."
Burke spoke of the pastoral counseling regarding Church teaching about abortion by Archbishop Naumann, which she declined, causing the Archbishop to direct her not to attempt to receive Communion, which Burke said is
"one of the most solemn duties as a pastor, namely, the care of the Most Blessed Sacrament and of the worthy reception of Communion."
Burke closed the interview by issuing a challenge to his brother bishops, most notably Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington, D.C.: "Every bishop is held to the same universal discipline which has been in force since the time of St. Paul the Apostle and is stated in canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law." And then this: "Whether Governor Sebelius is in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, or in any other diocese [italics mine], she should not present herself for Holy Communion because, after pastoral admonition, she obstinately persists in serious sin."

Serious Catholics need to take heed. Serious believers need to take heed.
It is time to awaken the Sleeping Giant, before serious damage is done to our Religious Rights.
God bless!

I love since Burke has left, he has been able to more outspoken than when he lived here. These "catholics" in name only is getting very old.
I mean "Hello" he lives in the Vatican. What are they going to go over there and site him with talking or writing the truth. Most likely, this admin is getting pretty wide spread.
But on a good note, I didn't vote for him, but will have to live with the results. Meg
I liked Burke when he was in Wisconsin, and have always been impressed with him.
I pray that he can/does make some very important decisions in the Rota while he is in charge over there, especially in my own area of concern (which you are aware of).
God bless!
