"Prep" is not a Book for Middle School...

I am really getting tired of the inappropriate books being handed to our school children without parental knowledge or input. And I am DOUBLY tired of those responsible passing the buck and saying that it is up to the parents, not 'us'....

I won't even read a book that gets graphic! And my grandchildren should be able to read this kind of stuff at 12 years old?

We are to avoid the near occasion of sin, not hand it out earlier and earlier and earlier...

When this type of reading is handed to 12 yr olds, and you have pre-teens/teens dating, is it any wonder that kids are sexually active earlier and earlier? When condoms and the Pill are handed out without parental consent or knowledge, is it any wonder that STD's are so rampant that now 11 yr old girls are being mandated to be vaccinated against HPV??? *Gardisil*... I want to be one less, ONE Less... Right... sick.

Then, as often happens, the girl gets pregnant; you get angry at the boy, and want to charge him with a crime that will cause him to be labeled a sexual predator at seventeen, a label that will follow him for life. And you have a young girl that is either forced to abort or forced to raise a child before she is ready to parent, or grandparents take that job over ... OR... occasionally, a child is placed for adoption.

And we wonder WHY??

God help us!
