Chaplain Jim Higgins -- Credit for the "Soldiers" email making the rounds

I got an email from a close friend today, and it was a very NICE email about our military men in Iraq at a movie. They were showing Spiderman 3, but as is tradition, apparently, the National Anthem is played before any movie begins.

Something happened to the music, not once, but twice. He goes on to tell us what the reaction was of the men and women in the military. It was 'signed' by Chaplain Jim Higgins.

I think more than THAT should be done.

This email came from his blog while he was stationed in Iraq.

He is a United Methodist pastor who is now on his way home. He should be in TX soon.

His May 14, 2007 posting is the email that has been going around and on forums all over, but he has not really gotten (from what I can tell) credit, because the url to his site hasn't been in the emails I have seen. I try to rectify that, but this time, chose to do it here, in my own blog.

Oh, and MAJOR Jim Higgins is also the recipient of the Bronze Star, and will 'soon' begin serving as Senior Pastor at McEachern Memorial UMC in Powder Springs, GA. (I think I know someone out that way...)

So when YOU GET the email .... give HIM the credit for having written it, ok? Give the url, so that HE won't be forgotten, either, and become 'just part of the urban legends'....
