May they rest in Peace, Oh, Lord!

Just before my week-long internet server problems, I had found another seminarian's blog and bookmarked it, as well as his older one. I had not had time to get to many of my bookmarked blogs since the server problem ended late Thurs evening. Late last night, I got a request for prayers for the families of two seminarians who had died in a car accident, and the other two seminarians in the car who had sustained relatively minor injuries.

Robert Spaulding (scroll down) and Mark Rowlands are the other seminarians in the car, and will need continued prayers for the present and the future, long-term, as the effects of the accident are felt, and as they await the outcome of the charges that have been made.

Sadly, two much needed seminarians are no longer with us, and two more now have uncertain futures.

Matty's final blog entry is still at his site, and is the one I had read that day before my server problems. Matty died the next day.

Matty Molnar was just 28, and Jared Cheek was 23 years old, soon to be 24. May they rest in peace, and may all those who feel their loss be comforted by Him. And may the Great Physician and Healer be with the two surviving seminarians, and all four men's families.

Their Diocesan newspaper has two stories about them online:

Seminarians had far-reaching impact on the archdiocese By JOE BOLLIG

Seminarians laid to rest By ANITA McSORLEY

Oh my gosh, this is so sad!!! Seeing Matty's pictures...so full of life. And his blog entries, written not so long ago. How awful. God rest his and Jared's souls and bring peace and comfort to their families.
