Sometimes God seems so very far away....
So many people have prayed for so many things in their lives and seem to get no answers. We just 'celebrated' the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. How far away God must have seemed to so many in those camps as they watched everything taken from them... first their status as citizens, then their homes and businesses, then their freedom, then their lives, or their loved one's lives. All the while, so many held onto their Faith. Some lost it forever.
So many persecuted since then for race, religion. So many prayers sent Heaven-ward... so many in so many countries gone.... Sudan, Russia, and so many other places. So many prayers sent to Heaven for rescue, gone unanswered.
Prayers for miracles ... for intervention ...for survival...for a miracle.
So many left without an answer... hope continues, though... Faith is like that. Hope always holds .... tomorrow in its hand... a better tomorrow...
We who hope look for answers anywhere we can find them and remain faithful to our calling in life. We pray for healing, we pray for intervention.
But then sometimes, there comes into our lives an event that wipes out, even briefly, that hope.
God help us. Help Terri Schiavo... help those standing for healing in families.... where are you? You promised you would never leave nor forsake... we implore you to show your Mercy.
