Correction--WI Right to Life Press Release
Correction from WI Right to Life ...From 1:50 PM
Based on a incorrect national news report this morning, we sent you a news release regarding President Barack Obama signing an Executive Order reversing the Mexico City Policy. We then sent you a news release with our reaction. However, the President has not yet signed the Executive Order on the Mexico City Policy. We apologize for using a news source that provided incorrect information and we will re-issue a news release when the Executive Order is actually signed.
Thank you.
Addendum: 11:57 AM
This notice from WI Right to Life came just over an hour ago. I had listened to much of this morning's signing of the Executive Orders, and heard NOTHING of this. I may have missed it, but I just checked on Fox News website and THIS is the only thing said about this:
In the headline:
Obama Issues Directives on Detainees, Interrogation, Guantanamo
President Obama on Thursday issued at least three executive orders and one presidential directive relating to national security and one abortion policy order, all reversals of Bush administration policy.
and in the body of the article...waaaaay down at the bottom of the page, this statement:Separately, the administration was set to issue a reversal of a ban on federal funding for non-governmental organizations working outside the U.S. that offer abortions or abortion counseling.
Obama was to sign the executive order on the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.
As the March for Life takes place in DC, this was taking place in the Executive Branch of the US Gov't.
Lord, have Mercy!
Christ, have Mercy!
Lord, have Mercy!
God bless!
