On Sarah Palin -- The Media Attack

Some of my friends and I had an exchange on Monday and Tuesday, and I did not want to have to rewrite it all... I have left out the names of those I was conversing with. I hope that they do not mind.

They actually were blogging untrue statements that 4 mos old Trig was not really Sarah Palin's baby...that she had faked her pregnancy and it was actually her daughter Bristol's baby...these far lefties are sick..

Yes, I also read that.

However, I also went through that to a certain extent when my *Baby Sibling* was born. I was 19. The neighbors had not always seen me or Mom, and they asked me a few times (different neighbors) when I'd "had the baby"... when I told them that she was Mom's, not mine, they often had a 'look'... Mom was 44. I was 19...at that time, another neighbor WAS raising her grandchild as though she was her child...

That was back in a time when one did not keep their child born out of wedlock if one didn't marry. Today, we live in a time when it isn't 'normal' to have a baby at 44, and it REALLY is rare that anyone would actually go through with a pregnancy that is not 'normal' at any age, much less "that" age. (Something like 80% of such pregnancies are aborted?)...

So the lefties have come up with an explanation that THEY could accept, just as our neighbors had to in 1968.

It is easier to believe what 'society accepts' than to believe reality sometimes. Back then, society didn't accept unwed mothers. Today, they do, but they have a hard time with Down's babies ( actually, any baby that isn't perfect).

Totally expected, though... I'm sure, or I'd like to think, that this sort of thing was well thought out BEFORE Sarah accepted...

think about this... the scandal is not so much that the 17 year old is pregnant, but it WOULD have been IF she had chosen to seek an abortion... Christianity doesn't make us perfect... Her true Christianity is shown in how she (Sarah and her daughter/family) handle the controversy, which I'm sure they knew would happen and hopefully have prepared for as best they could...

And I couldn't help but think about Obama's comments when he was still campaigning against Hillary, when he made some stupid comment about how If one of his daughters made a "mistake" he wouldn't expect them to be "punished" with a baby.... So, let the left go ahead and make their comments... It won't be the first time that Obama's comments will come back and bite them on the back side...

Sadly, had her daughter chosen the abortion route, the Palin's may not have known anything about their grandchild. But SOMEONE would have known. Perhaps several someones (anyone working in the clinic, a 'friend', etc) who easily could have used that information to try to 'zing' the campaign and the Palin's with that bit of breaking news.

THIS breaking news is much less damaging that that would have been. This breaking news is news that many of us have gone through since the beginning of time.

I am sure it was thought out ahead of time. McCain knew before he made his choice. And the pictures from the announcement of their family also show Bristol carrying her baby brother instead of Todd or Sarah Palin. At the time, I didn't think much about it, other than oldest child carrying youngest child. But being five months, it also could have been their way to protect her from the cameras.

As for Sarah Palin's daughter...it would have been nice if the McCain camp had acknowledged the pregnancy BEFORE the left had a chance to 'find dirt'. There would have been no fun it having had it already disclosed.

Hmmm, I am not sure that would have made much difference, since it was the Daily Kos that started the rumors to fuel this. The rumor that they started was that the baby isn't her child, but her grandchild, Bristol's baby. It is these lies that are despicable.
That blog is known for its liberalism and for its hatred of anything related to Bush, or to conservative, or to pro-life issues.

The other aspect of this is that this really has absolutely nothing to do with her ability to function as a person in a job or office. Having gone through this myself (though a child was 20), I know that. It is a personal family issue that the Clinton's did not face, as they said that the media was to stay away from Chelsea--and the media did.

What right does any person have to speculate, to lie about any other person with no real proof of anything but their own desire to destroy someone? That is the goal of the Daily Kos, and nothing else.

There was no reason for her to announce to the world on the very day that she was chosen as VP.. "Oh, and by the way, I am also going to be a Grandma..." She had a right to announce that in the way she chose to.

Had this been anyone else, we may never have known about the baby, because he would have been aborted for either or both of two reasons.... she is 44 yrs old...and he has an extra chromosome that means Down's Syndrome.

Had this been anyone else, we also may never have known about Bristol's baby, because that baby, in order to 'save face' would no longer be living.

Years ago, the solution for a teen pregnancy was to send the girl away and force her to give that child up for adoption, and NEVER talk about it again. That was to save the family's face, not for the good of the teen or the baby. Shame. Yes, adoption may be the best choice, but not for reasons of shame. Not to save face. But that is what abortion does for many people today.

Had Sarah and Todd Palin been anyone other than who they are, 'no one but them' ..and their abortionist, and his staff, and then nosy others would have known... and that news would also have been 'outed'.

This isn't news. This is something that MANY of us have had to face in our own lives, as in getting pregnant before we married... and/or as parents of unwed teens. The fact that she is a Governor does not make that any more of our business than if she was just Sally Doe from Timbuktu.

The reason it was NEWS to the Kos people is because they don't get it. They just cannot believe that anyone would ever give birth to a Down's Syndrome baby (another example of a life not worthy of life) or 'save their daughter from the embarrassment' of an unplanned pregnancy. They just cannot believe that there ARE people out there who really mean what they say when they say that they are pro-life.

God bless!

Can you believe the "Liberal Left" who are open to EVERYTHING an EVERYONE and evil spewing from their computer key boards. No wonder they take drugs (legally and illegally) so they can sleep at night. Their conscience obviously has been killed long before this. They must be SCARED of a woman being nominated and their smear campaign is going to bite them in the rear. I think it is brillant to root out these people and show everyone EXACTLY who they are.... I wonder how many people will actually become pro-life once this is all over?

Check out US Magazine on Sarah - I don't buy them, but I will make sure I NEVER buy them. They gave a glowing review on B. Hussien and his wife earlier in the summer....
I mean, they are dumb as a box of rocks, we are having children to keep them in business and they are beating up on wifes, working mothers, babies who are "not perfect" and young girls (who is almost 18 years old). Meg :)

Meg,

She hit it out of the park! I have downloaded her acceptance speech. I loved every minute of it!

I never buy those magazines, but I really never intend to get that one.

God bless!
