WHAT?? Labor Day swapped?
WHAT?????
I cannot get the video to work on my blog, so go here, and learn why a poultry company is giving up Labor Day for a Muslim holiday...
Thoughts on important things, not so important things, favorite things, and not so favorite things with a place to finally put them.

LOL, Christmas is for Christians. Yea, sure, then why is everyone off those 2 days. The day is for American WORKERS. Who cares if they are Muslim if they are American? I don't agree with changing it completely if there are other non-Muslim workers there that's just not right. It was a union, and in unions majority rules. What I don't understand is why they couldn't just vote for another "holiday" so the Muslim workers could have a day off that was all their own. Besides the point though, they all still get off those 3 days or whatever it is no harm no foul.
I would like to see one time, just once... where a union tries to take ONE Christian Holiday, say the Ascension or Pentecost ... and have a union vote to change Memorial Day into that holiday.
Just once. And then watch the sparks fly....
Labor Day is for all who labor here in the US. Christmas is no longer a 'religious' holiday, nor is Easter for that matter. Easter isn't a national holiday, but many places are paid or given a holiday from work.
But the Jewish faith has Passover about the same time we celebrate Easter.
I do not think that it would go over in any union, if we tried to change Easter into Pesach or Passover.OR even Labor Day into Yom Kippur.
Vote in another paid day off. But don't change a national holiday into a religious holiday for one religion.
God bless!
