Personal Message

Today, someone sent me this by email, and I think I have found another 'favorite song'. It is apparently from the movie "Johnny Lingo", which I had never heard of, but there can be a tremendously significant beautiful meaning for this song spiritually, as well as a love song.

It meant a lot for me to receive this song today, for a number of reasons. But one stands far above the other...

Jesus Christ has told HIS Bride, His Betrothed, His Church, the same thing. "I will come for you..."

Someone came to my blog looking for Te Vaka Tamahana...and I found out that the youtube video I had found and sent to my blog did not work. It had been 'pirated', apparently. So I have found three...

This movie, "The Legend of Johnny Lingo" is the favorite of my granddaughter's and mine to watch together when she is here overnight.
A minimum of three times.

This song really speaks to me each time we listen to it.... I know one day HE will come for His Church as well... just as Tama had to pay the 'ransom' for Johnny Lingo (and Johnny Lingo was willing to lay down his own life for Tama at that time)... and later again paid the 'dowry' of a tremendous amount for Mahana... He paid the Ransom for us, for His Bride, The Church...and for each one of us individually.

And He promised when He left, He would return, just as Tama promised Mahana, who waits and watches every day for 8 yrs...




And just as Tama, now the new Johnny Lingo, returns for his bride, Mahana, Jesus will return for His...




But we love the movie for its joy, for its Love Story as well. I don't think that my granddaughter, at age 6, now 7, sees the LOVE STORY that I do, but she loves the story that is found in the movie. So do I. We giggle together at the funny parts, and grow silent as Mahana is mocked...and watch as a stubborn Tama learns to be the Man he is supposed to be before he can return for Mahana... a King, a leader of his people.
