JPII, We LOVE You.......
I was a young mother of two girls when you first became Pope, and had just been shocked that we had had two recent deaths of Popes to get used to, but loved your smile and your words... "Be not afraid!".....
Praying selfishly that you will be with us for a long time yet, but knowing that you won't be; trying hard to get ready for the person God has in mind to take your place, and hoping that he will be just a little like you, as no one can take your place.
I remember being in Steven's Point, seeing photos of your visit there in the Church (cannot remember which one any more) as Cardinal. They were proud!
The changes in these past years have been painful for us to watch, as they must also be painful for you to live through. But, your example of living life to the fullest regardless of circumstances is a challenge to each of us to follow. Life is precious from Conception to Natural Death. You are an example for all of us.
Your eyes show me how sharp you are in spite of the Parkinson's and your age. So many today just have no idea that suffering is not something to avoid, but to walk through with Him. Losing someone like you will be very hard for many of us, and even those who don't think that they will be bothered.... have to notice.
Pray for Terri, who may not be allowed to live her life to HER fullest until God Himself calls her Home to Him, and pray for Michael ... I can't bring myself to call him husband when he has trashed his vows so harshly... pray for Attorney Felos, that he sees Truth--God's Truth. And pray for Judge Greer who is so blinded that he may see .... SOON....
God bless you, JPII! WE LOVE YOU!!
